Days 3 & 4 - Back on the Road!

Two nights in Las Vegas meant time to take in the night life. Some took in the Legends show, others walked The Strip... even the old Downtown district got a visit from some, complete with it's 'world's largest' canopy TV screen, street buskers, or should that be 'bust'ers!


A side trip to Grand Canyon via chopper was a treat for five of the group...



while others shopped at The Outlets and the
boys visited the American Shelby Museum
and workshops
Breakfast was at the 50's diner Peppermill, an icon in Vegas.


At Hoover Dam there was time to take in the Power Plant tour before we slipped on down the i95 to rejoin Route 66 at Oatman....

The tiny mining town that seems to have been caught in a time warp.

The road to Cool Springs twists and winds it's way through the rocky hills and mesas. Here we discover the link between this place and the movie Cars.

The 'old' road ran out near Kingman, split by the i409 that blasts its way through the mountain divide leading to our overnight stop.


El Trovatore is an historic motel that's been restored by Sam, a passion ex California Israeli.
Our rooms are themed for stardom and Barry Archer was in his element sharing a room with Marilyn!
