A day off in Vegas is hardly a day off... with plenty to do.

It started early up the strip at The Peppermill, one of the most awarded eating houses in town, set and maintained in the fifties, complete with subdued lighting and an indoor fire pit. Great food even if the laaaaarge yogurt looked more like a dessert!

The Shelby American facility provides all the background and history to one of USA's best stories of Carroll Shelby and all he did for the motor racing world.. although the new speaker system they had left a bit to be desired!

Shopping was also a priority for many today and we spread out over the north and south Outlet Stores....

...before three of the team headed to Exotic Racing for a belt around the race track in a 430 Ferrari and Porsche GT3.

That and the traffic which is pretty manic on Memorial Weekend took up much of the afternoon and all too soon we were rushing off the Bellargio to see Cirque du Soleil O, an outstanding version of the well known musical dance acrobatics, only this time in water.

We were picked up from the Bellagio in style for a run around town to cap things off.

We braved the traffic again, only this time in a stretched Hummer.

The old precinct in Fremont Street was humming too as it always is but you could hardly move.

There was an obligatory stop at the Las Vegas sign, although our combined photography skills mean you need a good imagination (or memory) if you were to recognise the desert landmark!!

Still, as Las Vegas always is... the whole thing was an 'experience' and without any chance of an early night before we hit the road again, it was eventually lights out.
